Our faith community celebrates life and the love of God in
many ways. We gather together for weddings, funerals, baptisms,
confirmations, Holy days, and other important occasions, as
well as for potlucks, barbecues, St. Patrick's Day, Cinco
de Mayo, and any other reason we can think of to celebrate
and have fun.
The 7th - 10th grade students are painting a large mural of Leonardo da Vinci's 'Last Supper.' This is the first time the students have attempted such a project; we hope it can be the first of many.

Fr. Alex celebrates baptism and welcomes a new member to our faith community.
Three seminarians from Mount Angel Abbey visited St. Joseph's for 6 weeks during the summer of 2006. They shared their knowledge and experience with our community, and worked with Fr. Felix in our parish. We will keep Br. Octavio, Br. Leonardo and Br. Bonifacio in our prayers as they continue their studies at Mt. Angel.
For Christmas 2004, the church was filled with poinsettias purchased in memory of loved ones who have passed away. Families donated one poinsettia for each name to be remembered. The names were read at the Christmas masses.
The St. Joseph's Choir also sang at a ceremony to honor the memory of those who were cared for by Hospice of the Gorge. The ceremony was held at Bethel Congregational Church in White Salmon. Hospice of the Gorge works in the Columbia River Gorge area to help patients and their families deal with serious and terminal illness.
